Yael Sherer (born October 5, 1982) is a social activist, documentary director, journalist, and a degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from the Open University.

She was famous for her film "Dirty Laundry," which she directed, telling her personal story. The film presented the process that followed a decision to file a civil lawsuit against her father, who was convicted of sexual abuse. Shearer is the executive director of the "One Of One" organization and a member of the organization for victims of sexual offenses.

She was born and raised in Kokhav Yair and moved to Kfar Sava when she was 15. She served in the Education Corps as an education officer in the Judea and Samaria Division, and afterward at the headquarters of the Chief Education Officer at Tel Ha'shomer.

After her release, she worked alternately in East Africa, mainly in Tanzania, with international aid organizations, with the aim of advancing the human rights of children in Africa. She has also served as a journalist in South Africa for the Israeli media.
